Backstory:

Vega was born one of two girls in queen Vespyr’s third litter. She and her sister were surprisingly born spotless. Even their half-brother Mantus had been born with the distinguishing rosettes of one with leopard heritage, but these two 5/8 leopard gals have none. Vega’s parents had been childhood friends, but were torn apart by violence, stupidity, and jealousy. After several years of not seeing each other, the two were finally reunited… and Usi learned of the child they shared, Neha, Vega’s older full-sister.

After a rocky start, the two childhood friends once again grew close, though not as close as they had been in their youth. There was much distance between them and each had responsibilities to their prides. Usi was forced south with the rest of Shupavu after a fire devastated their pride. Soon after, Vespyr learned she was pregnant, and this time there was only one possible father.

Around the same time, Tikka returned to the reserve. She was searching for her old friends, and Vespyr found her first. After catching up, Vespyr realized they could help each other. She would provide 3 guards to accompany Tikka to the southlands and Tikka would be able to inform Usi of his impending fatherhood.
