+ Cunning: Mantus has an affinity for scheming and often gets his sister and himself into trouble. However, in time, he may shape up to be a very intelligent planner and even a strategist.

+ Proud: Though born a rogue, Mantus carries himself like a prince. He is well-mannered, confident in himself, and holds himself in high regard.

/ Calm: Mantus’ emotions do not fly freely. He isn’t very passionate about anything in particular. Because of this he can approach stressful situations with a clear head. Perhaps this is a trait he got from his father.

/ Secretive: As a rogue, Mantus learned to listen more than he speaks. He doesn’t spill his business to just anyone. If he approaches you with one of his idea, you are one of a rare few he trusts.

- Vengeful: Mantus has inherited his mother’s temper. Though he isn’t one to burst out in rage, his anger is like a simmer, constant and waiting for the right fuel before bursting to life.

- Vain: Mantus cares a little too much about his looks. He knows he looks good and often tries to use this to influence people. If someone were to damage his face or scar his pelt, this would likely be one of the few things able to spark his temper immediately.

-Fear of Humans: After being branded, Mantus wants nothing to do with the no-fur upwalkers. For now he runs from them, but perhaps later he will attack them on sight...

- Exhausted: Both mentally and physically. Mantus is tired of people treating him like a child, which he believes he has proven himself not to be. He hates the looks he gets from those who do not believe he defeated the Phantom all by himself.

- Lost: After living most of his life based on the needs and wants of others, Mantus doesn't know what he wants out of life.

-heartbroken: After several failed relationships where the other person left him for another, he has become disillusioned with love. He is hurting. It will take a lot for him to let someone get that close to him again.

History:

            Mantus was born in a secluded cave along with his sister Neha. Their mother, Vespyr, had fled the Shupavu Pride after it was discovered she had been conspiring with the invading rogues. Mantus’ father, Kung, was one of these rogues.

          Kung, the eldest son of a violent mountain king, had fled with his younger brother to avoid death, but as the eldest son, he is the true heir to the throne, giving Mantus a strong claim as the next in line.

          However, Kung does not know of Mantus’ existence. Neither of the fathers know. Vespyr had tried to tell Usi, but after Kung’s betrayal she never wanted to see him again. Perhaps Mantus and his sister were a mistake, but perhaps they were a blessing. Their mother, now a rogue for the first time in her life, had always been lonely. As an outsider in her pride, she’d never grown close to anyone… other than Usi. She has now found the truest form of love, that for her children. She would die to protect them and does her best as a single mother to provide and raise them well.

Mantus became good friends with Meltem, and fought off many strange beasts with her. Later they entered a romantic relationship with one another. After some time, they began to drift apart, and after Meltem cheated on him (emotionally) they decided it was best to break up.

He has recently left on a journey to the great and unexplored northlands to try and find his father and the pride he's only heard about.

Other: Mantus was born with extra pointy teeth. As an adult, he will have saber fangs. No one knows which side of his family these come from as there is no record in memory of any ancestor who shares this unique mutation.

Mantus earned the title "Sawtooth" after defeating the infamous Phantom of the Water (big mean shark boy) all by himself at only 1.5 years of age. His name and face are known for this feat, though many do not believe he did such a thing because of his age.

Mantus earned the title "Slayer of Terror" after defeating the fearsome liger Teddy in a death-match when the gladiators set up camp in the frostfall mountains. He was 3.5 at the time. This was the first time he killed another feline and although he did not relish the act, he felt it was something he had to do. He still has conflicting emotions abotu what he has done. On one hand, Teddy was a violent killer. But he had been rasied by humans and conditioned to be that way and he didn't have to die. Mantus doesn't like talking about it and where as he proudly wears the title of Sawtooth, he shies away from the newer title*
