because i consider most Anime to be pointless violence and messageless. They all seem to end in happy storybook little endings, the exception being NGE.

Fruits Basket has a lot of messages (but only in the manga...)

and it ends happily...

but there is still suffering! And not much violence.

...anime is awesome. You should learn to like it ^^ A lot of animes have lots of messages, but to some people they're hard to understand. Anyway, not a bunch of anime series have sad endings, but there are some that end a bit sad or sorta cut off. Just try watching some :3 There has to be an anime that appeals to you....
