Today is the 1st day of spring in the Southern Hemisphere.With it came a spring tide of catastrophic proportions, accompanied by a wave of storms that is said to be the worst in the Western Cape region, for over 20 years.

I was about half way down the pier, & still zoomed in a bit. Even so, it was quite a rush - not as stupid as some people were though, but more on that later

i remember seeing a few of these a couple of years ago
i have also seen a couple of fishermen get wiped off this harbour.
