Time for my annual QFG fanart lol

I don't expect most people looking at this to know what it is so I'll explain.

It's my hero from the old PC Adventure Game, Quest For Glory. I wanted to draw a more realistic rendition of what his Shapeirian clothing would look like. For those who never played these games (you have no idea what you're missing!) this is the original img.photobucket.com/albums/v47… . You start out as a nobody from some european/german type region, after you become a hero and save the region you leave and the second game takes place in the desert city of Shapeir which is very arabian in style. At the end of that game you are adopted and become the prince.

Well if you're going to be a prince you should dress like one! Also...I find it very unlikely that he'd be adventuring in the desert without a head cover of some kind...especially with that kind of complexion.

So yeah...Collon ibn Harun al-humam (for those who don't know how arabic names work "Collon, son of Harun, the courageous"), Magic using Fighter and my QFG Hero who did not become king of Silmaria in the 5th game and instead returned home.

...I obsess over this game more then I probably should lol

Did you play the remake of QFG II?

sorry this is so delayed...I haven't logged in in forever lol >.<

but no, I didn't. I actually prefer the original versions of both the first and second game. I like the type in interfaces and pixel look. Why do you ask?

Just wondering, it looks a bit more polished. And if you thought Khaveen was tough, in this one they only made him even tougher.

Like I said, I prefer the looks of the originals over the remakes. Hmm, well I never really found any of it particularly tough but then I have been playing the games for twenty some years lol

Fantastic work on the protagonist of the Quest for Glory game series! It's cool that the Prince of Shapeir, according to your universe, did not become King of Silmaria and instead returned home. When I played QfG5, I always turned down the throne and said Elsa was more worthy. When you said the Prince of Shapeir returned home, did he go back to Shapeir or did he go back to that Germany-styled nation?

Shapeir of course lol. Since they never give you any ties to wherever you came from orginaly I always just assumed he was an orphan with no real ties anywhere. Why go back to being a peasant in some no name village when he can be a Prince in a city that loves him?

That makes sense. At least Shapeir was a nice, if blisteringly hot, place. Thank you for clearing that up.
