Description
A change of name after some constructive feedback. The USS Meridian. Β NCC - 161193.A combination of technologies from the Sovereign class Enterprise E and the USS Prometheus Similar with two independent vessels after separation.
And fast response vessel that can store a multi useΒ Medical/Shuttle/Supply Pod in between the two hulls.

I was never a fan of the Prometheus design but you have truly done the concept justice here. The way the warp pylons split vertically is super cool and the individual designs of both ships are incredibly detailed. I also noticed that on your ships the hull plating looks a bit like galvanized steel. Is there an in-universe explanation for that or was just detailing?

I feel like this is what the Prometheus should have been... this seems like a much more logical design to me... just have basically two separate ships designed to work together attached like this instead of have it all integrated as one ship when together.. you don't have to worry about the complexities to the interior all those "lego pieces" would make while still having the same abilities the Prometheus is supposed to have.
Β On top of that, you have taken a potentially awkward design and made it look so very cool! I'm quite serious when I say that I'm quickly falling in love with this ship.

The design you made is actually unique. The top half a light cruiser while the lower half is a little more tankier. It's a very nice design!

Β Given the registry, I'm led to believe that she combines the technologies from the Odyssey and Hephaestus classes, as opposed to a late 24th Century design (and by 2381, the Prometheus is hardly the most advanced class, with the Vesta able to get around the galaxy far faster).
Meridian is a name that is surprisingly common in fanon, enough that I consider the name almost be a little unlucky. At least nobody has used it for a class name.
Β Having the transporter systems well maintained is a must.

The registry is my nieces birthday - a bit of a custom when I do my designs to make them a little more personal.
And I didn't even check to see if any other ships were named Meridian lol. I was looking through holiday photos to the UK where I saw the Meridian Line. Β So I went with that. Just trying to make each design even more personal to me.
Any ideas for a good ship name?

Only issue I have is that there is no easy connection between the two halves, so you would have to use the transporter. I know the Oberth had this issue as well.

She is a combination of the Sovereign and the Prometheus - and yes I thought the transporters would replace the old turbolift.
Escape pods are located on the leading edge of the ship.
