The Queen of the Winter, on her crimson throne, with her train of darkness trailing off into the snow, her pearls speaking of droplets of ice hanging from every tree and bush, her skin like snow, silent as night, cold as ice, her dress painted by Jack Frost in a frenzy of delight.
(Funny how the obvious color of winter is white, but it is also black, with the darkness of shortened days, and the black of trees stripped of their summer green.)

(Hummm... I'll have to think about that book idea. I have left a few thoughts in my journals, though those are a little more extended than the little bits (poems?) i write in response to some of the images i see here. Still, it would be fun to collect them.)

Here's what stymies my though... I thought there was a way you could go back and see old correspondence or comments you have left on other people's deviations (aside from, of course, hunting back through all your watched artists and finding them manually...). I can't seem to find that though. Maybe I need to cough up the money for a real account upgrade. Hummm...
