She looks like the femaleΒ Red and Black bird. How do you ever tell them apart? She also looks like the little guys that keep me company when I hang out clothes...expect mine have a little reddish brown cap.

Its really hard to tell all of the sparrows apart, sweetie. I think the ones that keep you company when you hang out clothes are the American tree sparrow or chipping sparrow. I have watched the male English sparrows outside my feeders and these little birds hang out with them, I looked them up and sure enough they were girls. I have to admit that sometimes I am still baffled by some birds. Β
