This is phenomenal. I saw down below that you have some work in progress pictures. I would love to make a master sword and sheath. Any way you would be willing to let me look at them?

One more question if that's okay. Just curious as to what kind of tools you used to carve it. A carving knife/ chisels?

Chisels for the larger surfaces and wood carving tools for details and small surfaces.

Hello! I make themed hidden blade props out of wood. I was wondering if you would have a problem with me using this scabbards design as the basis of the outer casing. I looked up some photos of Link's scabbard and noticed that this design differs from the actual scabbard, your's is a bit simplified, which I like.
Thoughts?

The sheath is different in every game, just like the sword and shield. If you looked up skyward sword specifically you would see that i got it fairly close. As long as the design you go with is your own interpretation, i don't see a problem with you using mine as a basis.

I think that apart from the blade not being metal, this is THE MOST spot-on replica of the Master Sword that I have seen.

I kept the wood that i cut the sword out of in one piece so it would fit. And glued panels on the top and bottom instant sheath. Then i marked out the details and chiseled out the and result. there are a few wip shots if you look in my gallery folder.

Thanks.
The sword is just under a meter, and the Das i used is an air dry putty similar to regular wood putty. (no baking involved)
