Description Coyote skull upper, carved, stained with walnut ink, beeswax finish. Another experiment. The design at center left is carved out, while on the right the area around it is carved out.

A moderately good skull. One of the left side teeth is half missing.

Beeswax finish? What do you mean by that? This looks fricken' awesome! What do you use to carve into it? A scalpel or...?

I sometimes use a beeswax mixture I get from Clapham's in Canada: [link] - I use the Salad Bowl Finish, which is actually a good general wood finish, and it's food grade, so it's not harmful. I use it on almost all of my wooden jewelry. My other favorite wax is microcrystalline; I use Renaissance brand: [link]
