Honestly I really don't want a child if I don't have the means to give them a proper childhood, and a healthy life...therefore I am pro-choice, and really not much of anything can change my mind.

At it's early stages, it's not even alive. So it wouldn't be "killing" it. At it's later stages it is.
And what if the woman was raped? Is she supposed to bear the child even if she doesn't want it, isn't old enough to care for it, is too poor to care for it, on drugs, or too weak to bear it? The child may be put in an orphanage and may never be adopted.
It could also be a health risk. What if this woman is, say, 14 or 15? Her body is probably not fully equipped to care for a child. Her hips may not be wide enough or may have parts that don't function properly. In such a case, the mother could die.
I support abortion.

If it was me I'd have to sit there and be aborted whether I liked it or not. It's not like there's any place I could go. Because I'm a fetus I have no emotional attachment to my mother and I lack the experience needed to understand that me being killed is wrong.

It's not so much about- how you would feel about it 'after the fact'... the thing is; there have been studies done where they have aborted embryos /foetuses & monitored [by putting a special camera into the womb] how the foetus reacts during the process of abortion... that is;- until they die & can't react any more]. I made that comment so long ago I don't even remember it.
I here what you're saying and I care about the victims.
(I actually think the whole world in general needs to rethink how they handle those sorts of crimes and take them more seriously regardless of who the victim is)
My views are more to do with morality in that I can understand considering that option if the lives of either the mother or the child are at serious risk,
but the idea of abortion for the sake of convenience is one that will never sit well with me.
I'd like to add that I may have been 13 or 14 when I first commented on this(I've recently turned 20) and that I was genuinely surprised to see your comment in my inbox,
what I'm trying to say is that even if we may have somewhat differing opinions in general(I honestly wouldn't have a clue how different we may or not be),
we do seem to agree on at least some points and I'd rather leave it on that note than argue points for and against that other people have already made countless times in the years since I first commented on this post.
I'm actually returning to this site after being gone from it for a long while and just don't have any interest in getting involved in these political/controversial debates moving forwards(I just don't have the time or energy for it),

A fetus is a living thing, no matter how small, a baby's heart starts beating at 5-6 weeks and have finger nails. I understand situations can be difficult, but that is no excuse to murder a child. And yes, it is murder regardless of what anyone says. Go do some research on what exactly takes place during an abortion and how the fetus can actually feel pain. A friend of mine did a huge research project on abortions. It's horrific. I don't believe the government should pay for abortions either. This is my opinion and if you have a problem with it, that's your deal. This is where I stand and I'm not backing down.

I dont think the government should pay for abortions, nor do I think every woman who gets pregnant, and just doesnt have "the time" do to her partying should get one, but if its an unplanned pregnancy, you cant afford to care for a child, cant find another to adopt, and dont want to place your kin in an orphanage.

Pro-choice all the way I think it'll cause more problems if abortion was made illegal in any country or state imagine the uproar (seriously) and will probably cause more infant moralities then ever before. Back in the times when abortion was illegal (or not practiced) women used to either result to black market surgeons to have the embryo removed (in most circumstances this was when the featus was actually a baby because they had to disguise it as a still-birth). Or you would get the extremists who would kill the baby as soon as its born or a young child, this will more then likely happen if abortion was illegalized in modern day socity having made abortion illegal is a fantasy sorry but thats just how it is.
I am not pro-abortion because it should never be used as a common method of protection that is suffocating the system and is wrong. However a women should have the right to do whatever she wants with her body and her own choice of life, I know some people out there who wised they were aborted because their parents were forced to give birth to them (therefore causes physcological stresses on the parent and the child). Anyone can birth to a baby but not everyone can be a loving and supportive parent if abortion would illegalize so many outer-laying problems would occur that the pro-choice over tips pro-life on the basis of everything.

I can certainly understand that every person deserves life, but even more important, every person deserves a good life. I think it cruel to bring a child into the world knowing they will suffer. And yes, it was said before, it is the woman's choice. We may not agree with it, but it's not our business or the government's business what she chooses. End of story.
