TheDubstepAddict ( thedubstepaddict.deviantart.co… ) challenged me to #buildafakepterosaur a while ago. Although I didn't really wanted to participate in the start I got some inspiration lately and I ended up with this. So here we go!

Pteronychus audax is a hybrid the size of an eagle and is an animal that deserves our respect. It's a predator of small to mid-sized animals, capable of bringing down small dinosaurs as large as a mid-sized dog.
Its DNA is a mix of:
Darwinopterus modularis
Guidraco venator
Sinocalliopteryx gigas
Cariama cristata

The wukongopterid's DNA was the base of the body as you can see. The tail has a lot of resemblances with them too although it's quite short in comparison to the body.
The dentary and small headcrest will remind you of guidraco. Notice though how the teeth are serated and thus perfect for cutting through flesh. That's from the compsognathid, same about the rather large size of the pterosaur.
On its feet it also has an enlarged claw thanks to the seriema DNA. It doesn't use it to kick prey like the modern dinosaur does, but it acts as extra grip on large prey while the teeth do their work. It's also used for intraspecific fights where the animals kick each other with it in mid air, the teeth are rarely used in a fight since they'd do fatal damage to wing tissue and other vulnerable body parts. Fights rarely end with death for the loser.
Be careful though when encountering flegdelings: the parents defend them the first six months of their life. They're capable of doing some serious damage when they combine teeth with footclaws and they're more agile then you'd expect.
