Description I've been gradually working on this one for quite a while now: It's been finished and sta.shed since December
There were originally seven characters in this drawing, but I thought the background needed just as much attention.

The sidewalk is near a road intersection at the moment, that's why the stop sign is facing towards the screen. That was definitely an excuse for my mistake...
Now, you might be asking: Why does the stop sign look unphased from the weather whereas the trees are covered in snow? I don't know, someone might have cleaned it or something...? Those drivers need to read that sign, you know

You might have to click the drawing to remove the blur. The drawing looks rough overall; I think it looks okay the way it is... just okay.
December/January + New software + Sidewalk Drawing + Screwing around = THIS

This makes me think of a side scroller game level. It's the angle and style of the street and the layering of the backgrounds, I guess.

I wasn't wondering about the stop sign, but I SHOULD BE!
That's a good question about it, that first one! I guess I didn't think about it's facing because I was thinking about games, and in games, it'd face us. The neat thing about drawings as opposed to photos is that... you know, sometimes if we look at ancient drawings their perspectives or things look odd, but all drawings have a tendency to be that way in some way once we think about it. In drawings, it's imperative that people be able to see the front of things. At least half the front. So we draw tons of things in ways that are actually quite unnatural when you think about it, because it just feels right and is practical to see the front.
And sometimes, when you think about them, they actually make no sense visually at all: This cloud isn't in his field of view at all!

About the ice, though... I didn't have a problem with that because this picture doesn't look like it goes into enough detail where we should see the frost or ice or snow on the sign. HOWEVER, YOU live in Canada, so you know how much stuff should be on the signs.

Tickee is an interesting (nick)name.

When I drew this, I've been living to a new city I've recently moved to. I kind of expected it to look like a side scroller game, but that wasn't exactly my intention.

That's most likely the reason why I screwed up. I tend to see things like that sometimes. That's the problem with two dimensional cartoons and games, sometimes The point of view can be tricky at times. It's not simply two eyeballs facing something: it's going to need depth.

In terms of detail, yeah I guess the ice would be fine, in contrast with the snow.

I first made Tickee (ot Tikee) as a ripoff Monkey D. Luffy with very strange ticklish problems, hence the name "Tickee", which will be confirmed to "Tikee", sooner or later. His real name's actually Bob, but he really prefers Tikee, " 'cause it sounds funner" (From his words)

Ah yeah. I didn't know which one was Tickee, or how it would later be spelled, but now that you've described Tickee as a ripoff of Luffy I know which one he is. Hehe his own words.

You've noticed that weird thing about two dimensional cartoons and stuff too? Some of the errors we make because of those feel so natural.

I think Tikee's far pretty far away from the Luffy look, after fixing up his character and traits.

I also remember something similar mentioned in my art class from a few years ago, except that we could also look at it from an isometric projection.

Haha I like the stop sign comment. I didn't have any thought about it but then I read your description.

Looks so great--the contrast between the girl monotonously(?) walking and the younger kids in their own world, playing
in the snow...The background looks very nice too and is the sun setting in this pic?

Thanks
I doubt a lot of people would perceive the small mistakes on the stop sign. It's just me rambling on the artist comment section, in case somebody tries to analyze the drawing on a technical scale to point at errors, lol.
I guess I'd describe it as monotonous. She definitely doesn't not that interested.
Tickee's actually 17 Rebecca's 15 and Reanna's 6. Some people still consider a 17 year old as a kid though.
And yes, the sun's setting in this pic.

This looks nice! And, well, seeing as a stop sign doesn't have much surface areaon the top, it makes sense that it isn't covered in snow.

Thanks
Though it does make sense, it's not entirely true. After a small snowstorm, I saw a stop sign that was completely covered in snow.

All right you are right, I have seen snow stick to stop signs be fore, but, well...it doesn't always have to? lol

It doesn't. It's kinda weird though.

Thank you
Drawing it took way longer than I thought it would.
