um.so yeah this popped into my head
after entry 35 left me really annoyed at alex i got to thinking about what happened afterward
and it would make sense for Jay to now seek Tim instead of Alex, thinking he probably needs more of his help at this point
Tim went and avenged his injuries
Jay hunts down Tim and goes back and gets Jessica
and they're on the road as usual
...this conversation happens. whatever Tim did to Alex wasn't pretty, and while a flashlight isn't quite as bad as a giant rock, he probably hates to make Tim angry
