Just that, TRADITIONAL WORK? BY ME!?!?! whomg o: Anyways, I like oil pastels despite my terrible ness at controlling it XD I'll get the hang of itit's a mess 8D;; I press really hard..and im all. D< grrz at it
I was drawing from a picture I saw in a book

did you color it layer per layer? i always have a hard time using pastels because they're so messy...

That looks really great! ^^ I love realism, it's probably one of my favourite things to draw. (Although you probably couldn't tell by my DA) lol. I don't have a working scanner so I wouldn't be able to get something like this on here.
I love the way you drew this, she looks adorable. This is probably the best pastel drawings I've seen. I love the use of colour. :3 I love.... everything.

awwie TwT hehe, being scannerless= sad ;___; but sometimes i perfer to just take pictures with a camera and upload them :3 
Realism takes alot of different concentration from just drawing anime and such @__@/// For me realism is all...did i shape that right O-O how are the colors?! shading? and I get all freaked out XD but it's really fun at the same time @w@

Though you may think it a mess, I believe this picture actually pays tribute to your talent! I have to admire the face particularly, really nice shading beneath the chin, it gives a nice shape to her face. Additionally, the tonal contrast present here is good, that very dark section next to her face adds to this artwork.
Her facial features have been very well defined by your colour choice- look at the cheeks and the use of red pastel! The nose has such good shape as well, very good shading there.
The fantastic shading has really added to the emotion of the whole piece, coupled with the eyes facing the edge of the artwork.
I hope you continue to use pastels, this is so promising!

Yeah, pastels really are quite fun! Just have to be careful that you don't get oil pastels on your clothes

It's nice to see some colors in there that people wouldn't think of as being in there, like the blue in the skin and the green in the hair. x3~
Maybe you would draw less lopsided if you held the paper at an angle? o 3o~

roffle XDD I couldn't for this one because of the position i was sittin in .x. I was in a really high chair..and i was too lazy to get a more suitable one for me XDDD so i...just crouched over onto the desk to draw and draw (or i'd just stand.) and the paper was on the book where i got my reference picture off.. xDDD I should've tilted the book o: Good tip! xD

Whoaaaaa~!!!! This is so nice, eum her face is somewhat lopsided but that can fixed with Photoshop>>Liquify I guess.
Aside from that, this is very beautiful~!!! Even if you were using low-grade oil pastels. You must teach my to colour ;A;. You are so talented *bows*!!!!
