Matthew the Alligator Engine's Livery Timelines.Matthew is based on a 128 Ivatt 2MT Class 2-6-0 locomotive and was built between December 1946 and September 1952. After being withdrawn from the London, Midland & Scottish Railway in 1967 he was bought by a short Railway called βthe Alligator Railwayβ and was repainted Royal blue with Red sprites. After his line was closed down the Fat Controller bought him from saving trapped Engines.

Wow, I wonder how they salvaged his funnel, dome, and tender. It breaks my heart seeing them scrapped. reminds me of the bone chilling image from Stepney the blue bell engine from 1963.
