Description This drawing went through handful of troubles - it got wet (due to rain and open window), teared, purple!!, when I tried to fix it I took wrong ink bottle and noticed it's half water half ink bottle when the damage was already made... And so on.

I'll work on it some more because it's just bad but let it be here as a reminder.

P.S. Trantor is the name of planet in Isaac Asimov books!

Omg thank you for that video, Shania Twain is gorgeous!!! It wasn't the inspiration since pencil work was made years before this video was released, if I knew about it earlier it would definitely be used for the touchups. Now I have an inspiration for the remake!

You read Asimov?

I've read a number of Asimov's books. Β Mostly his nonfiction, but I've read the first four of his Foundation books, and a few others. Β He is one of my favorite authors, and two of his books are on my "Most Recommended Books List" (_The Naked Sun_ and _Atom_).

This group has inspired me to reread the Foundation series and to do a sketchbook drawing the series.

Since the series fails the "Bechtel" test, I might try rule-63'ing some of the characters sometimes.

Here via a link from TheIllustratedWord. This is fantastic! I especially like the crosshatching texture and the feeling of swooping movement.

I loved the Foundation series! I've read the books over and over and even read them to my children when they were young.

Yeah, I love it too!! Only, I'm really troubled with bad translation to Croatian language, so the reading goes really slowly. Though I fancy Louis MacMaster Boujold more than Asimov.

hey, i know this motiv. i`ve seen it in my dreams many years ago .. but there was 3 oder 4 bikes .. very strange

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

dorashouldprint In reply to lichtrefle-x [2009-03-14 12:31:21 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow!!! Maybe we have similar imagination or interpretation of reality (hence the dream). Or we simply saw/read something alike. Me to had this motive in my head for a long time. Oh, four bikes appear in Final Fantasy VII, for example.
