I saw you did the lineart in a traditional way, with pencils and ink, ..after that you finished the coloring with your tablet.
I'm trying to do something similiar right now.. like a digital painting from a picture, but without a tablet haha.. yeah I know (but I can't afford it right now) .
I'm struggling a bit on how to colorize digitally without harming the lineart contrast, you know? Without the color being over the lineart. I'm trying to do that in many ways..mostly with selection tools, but it is really labored haha. I would like to know if there is a more practical way of doing this!!

OMG! You will use mouse?? O.O
When you open photo/scan in drawing program, usually it will be in background layer, so you must put lineart on the top layer. In layer's option change background into normal layer.
After that, change its blending mode from "Normal" to "Multiply", then white color will disappear and you can paint under this layer very easily.

Well.. I'm trying hahah.. but it's not so difficult, I think the trick is on the lineart if you made it on a traditional way, colorign digitally after.. will not be so hard! It demands some time of course, but with time you get used to it. I finished my first digital coloring because of your tip!! You really helped me a lot!
