My D&D-players were exploring Mere of Dead Men, a swamp in Sword Coast North. Campaign suggested encountering fauna like constrictor snakes and crocodiles. In the North?? We're all Nordic people in my table, so I couldn't have pulled THAT off. So instead of weirdly tropical creatures, they got something a little different.
