very much needed update/redesign of this guy: [link] [link]

Sabine Half-Elven, the Necromancer, etc. as his name implies, he is half-elven, one of very few due to the fact that mixing those genes more often than not results in spontaneous abortion. Sabine was lucky (?) enough to survive, but his heritage has given him the prodigious gift of being a sort of conduit and reservoir for the energy which runs through all living beings. it is not easy on him, mentally or physically, and has left him leeched of color and with a kind of inability to absorb heat from his surroundings, such that he is always, always cold.

after many years of being essentially a hired gun, and the aged deaths of all of his immediate human family members, Sabine vanished from human and elvish civilization. nobody knows his whereabouts, very few people care, and even fewer wish he'd come back.

when i did this redesign, i thought quite a bit about functionality. almost everything here has a reason, including his apparent lack of weaponry and the seemingly non-fantastic appearance of his costuming. Sabine is meant to stick out in very sharp contrast to the other (as yet un-redesigned) denizens of this world - he is far more utilitarian and less decorative than most.

there may yet be an update to this if i can figure out what i want to do for a background.
