Description

All the terribilivermians are bottom predators, which move and trap their prey thanks to their tentacles. In addition, they are able to stay out of the water for a long time, ideal for moving through rocky intertidal areas in search of food. They can reproduce both sexually and asexually and if one is cut in half, two new individuals will originate. The colony is renewing zooids throughout life, eliminating those older and creating new ones.

In the image, a juvenile Vasculovermis imperator 30 cm long, but an adult colony can reach the 40 meters. Is, by far, the largest polizoan.
