Description The Forgotten

Resident Evil REbirth - These are some fantasy-game ideas of what I would have done with the story and characters of Resident Evil. When I'm done uploading these, I'll try to finish the timeline I'm working on so that it's hopefully more clear. It will even include "original games" since games are what make Resident Evil after all! If you see any plot-holes or have something to add, I'm all ears. (TL;DR warning)

Sherry Birkin:
Shortly after the events of RE2, Leon and Sherry are left alone to walk back to civilization. On their way they encounter the military- However, the people they encounter aren't the real military, rather Albert Wesker and his organization. Sherry recognizes him as a "family friend" and agrees to go with him, unaware of his true nature or that he was even "supposed to be dead". Leon is unaware of anything until the real military arrives and he realizes he'd been fooled. By then Wesker and Sherry are long gone.

Wesker didn't "raise" Sherry so much as she was just a test subject and to an extent, a fellow employee. She still wished Claire would keep her promise to return for her, but as time passed by it began to turn into bitterness. All the while, Claire and the rest of the STARS renegades have Sherry as one of their top priorities to find and rescue, but hunting down her and Wesker isn't an easy task.

During the 5 years it takes them to finally get a location, Sherry's blood has been tested and modified to a point where it is essentially the anti-virus to almost every BOW virus available to Wesker. He modified it for two reasons- One being to get a profit from any future bio-hazards (some which may be intentional). The second reason being that he is looking to create a cure-all for his own prototype virus William had given him. He came to regret being so hasty with the prototype, due to the fact he needs a serum multiple times a day- He is unsatisfied with having such a weakness. He hopes to modify Sherry's blood to a point that he can erase his own virus, to which he will replace with a more refined version that has virtually no weaknesses. The prototype is too unstable to be combined outright with a brand-new virus.

Sherry's life unfortunately remained similar as with her own parents, essentially growing up alone- Apathetically content. Bitter about a life she may have been able to live if Claire had returned. She used to ask Wesker about it, but he'd brush off the concerns saying that Claire nor Leon ever contacted him again, which only fueled her pessimism. She was the perfect prisoner- Unaware of what was really going on around her, yet willing to do whatever was asked of her as by then, it was commonplace.

Steve Burnside:
Watching from the shadows, Wesker realized Steve's personal potential. Not only was he a fresh sample of T-Veronica, but also in the fact he was able to revert from human to BOW, and back to human again almost seamlessly. Extremely interested in this, Wesker and his organization took the recently deceased Steve and managed to preserve him long enough for an operation. Of course, the virus in his body greatly assisted in his resurrection and he probably wouldn't have survived had it not been there.

Upon revival, Steve was of course not willing to be a participant for Umbrellas experiments- Not that he had a choice at this point. However, the T-Veronica in Steve was still so highly unstable that during his first year of confinement, he needed frequent organ transplants in order to keep him from constantly changing forms. This stopped once a device was finally developed to deploy a certain serum which kept it in balance, as well as control the shift to BOW manually. The device is installed on the back of his neck, taking the appearance of some sort of red jewel. Internally, it is inserted directly into his spinal cord, connecting through his nervous system. Trying to forcefully remove it would result in paralysis.

During the 5 years of his confinement, Steve only set foot outside a handful of times, namely for more physical sorts of tests in a natural environment. His life from 18 onward consisted almost only of experiments, testing, torture, and being forcefully transformed into a remote-controlled monster. Many times he considered ripping out the device on his neck so that Umbrella would finally just dispose of him, but his run-in with death left him too afraid of ever attempting it. The only small lights in his life were his memories before all that had happened, and the one person he befriended in the facility, despite her being an Umbrella employee as well. That person was Sherry Birkin.

Prologue

November, 1998... only a month has passed since Raccoon City was wiped off the map. The world watched in horror and confusion as the event unfolded. What kind of horrible disease could turn humans into the living dead, warping animals and even plants into monstrous abominations? Only the surviving members of STARS knew the truth... Umbrella Incorporated, the world-known pharmaceutical company was merely a front for their studies in biological weaponry and warfare. The STARS team were no longer alone in their fight for justice however...

Another survivor managed to escape Raccoon City, bearing the burden of the

I seriously died.....No joke. I revived and started to do Gangnam style, square dance with my brother, tap dance, Scottish dancing and stuff, but this made my life a million times easier and happier! Oh I can die happy now...Oh wait! Cross that!!! I don't wanna die now (Sorry, happiness of fangirlism over 'possible pairing', so ignore it....)! Anyways, I love your theories better than RE6.....It's seems so pure to the series(Through Capcom's response, they say that they are like parents and we fans are like the children. They try to do what's best for us even though we disagree, we don't get everything we want....I find it a little sad)...Lately I noticed it's become more suggestive and more war like....*shivers* Okay, and Will you add these two in your animations again, just asking? And I find that your plotline is somewhat better than Capcom's...Maybe you can make a fanmade resident evil game (Actually I will make a fanmade rpg Resident Evil game in a few years if I start doing computer programming)? Great artwork and can't wait for more~

Daww, well thanks! I don't try to too my own horn but damn. I think any fan really, could have written a better story of what happened since Code Veronica and onward, better than the actual writers did. I think Capcom only says that because, I suppose they think if they didn't take the action/Call of Duty route, then Resident Evil would of fizzled out as a series. Honestly at this point, I rather that happened than these shitty games they've been giving us. Like let the series die with at least a little dignity, but I think it's beyond help now.

I don't know if I'd ever animate this re-writing stuff, since it isn't really parody/comedy and I don't think I'd do very well at animating something "serious". But maybe whenever I do finish a video, after that I can make a promotional video mentioning what I do here since, most people on Youtube seem to think I'm dead. Thanks!

Youre welcome and I never was a war gamer, and I have to agree with you on any fan writing a good sequel. The only good thing in my opinion are the character's development since most characters in there change drastically in a good way (but I still can't tell whether Leon developed throughout the story or not). Mmm...I wish Capcom can have the idea of giving a opinion option to put a website where fan can at least show some ideas so it can somewhat inspire them a little. A little advice from the fans won't hurt as I usually get some ideas when I write stories.

Oh I see, I understand that animating serious things can be a little difficult (even when I try to be serious, I end up adding a little humor). It's alright that you don't upload as much videos as before, you do have a life and some people do need breaks to do other things. If you ever do finish a video, I would be more than glad to watch it since I love to rewatched your videos again.

Yeah it just really sucks where the series has turned to... And yee thanks, I think serious videos would just need to look really "good" and "realistic" if you get what I mean. If I drew like this, I think it'd look silly and, it's just a lot easier drawing this way.

Yeah...Seriousness would sorta be good for cosplaying as well when making somewhat of a movie. And I do feel bad, when I saw Sherry's character story, it didn't seem as what I thought. I sorta expected a little more...Well alot of people did from what I see...And...I do wish to do animation one day *sulks in corner* if only if I know how to do it -__-'. Oh well! There's always films class and computer animations i can lean on!

From what I heard yeah, they pretty much skimped out on Sherry's backstory. I guess they just put her there since "fans wanted her" but I guess what the didn't understand was that fans wanted her, and wanted her written well.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LittleAngel321 In reply to DoubleLeggy [2013-01-23 14:03:33 +0000 UTC]

I guess I can see that. Like I wanted her to be there, but not like that. They partially got her backstory right when Sherry was talking about Raccoon city to Jake. I also wonder why they used the DC story. Isn't that game technically not canon? Code Veronica was more canon than that game...Sometimes, I feel as if Leon was telling the story incorrectly, but apparently he's right. Anyways, when they make another game, let's just wish they do at least a little better and make it worth better than a trip to Brazil.

Ugh yeah. I mean I know a long time ago the "Wesker Report" was dubbed non-canon but, I dunno the whole thing was just stupid. Like something made in 2000, back when they actually had plans for the series is uncanon, meanwhile a who-gives-a-fuck mini-game filler takes the plot? Sweet Jesus.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LittleAngel321 In reply to DoubleLeggy [2013-01-23 22:22:37 +0000 UTC]

Yeah...I wished they actually used the plot they planned for because it would have been a little better than what we have now, but I do give some good points for the RE6 games...Now I realized...If they don't take the Code Veronica plot...then that means that they will completely ignore the fact they will bring Steve back, unless Capcom decides to give a shit for us and bring back Steve, at the same time make a better plot. I swear, I thought they would do better since they had like over a 100000 people working on that game making it "One of Capcom's Biggest Projects". In terms of graphic, it was fine, but in terms of plot...well I think that was a Developer's day off...

DoubleLeggy In reply to LittleAngel321 [2013-01-25 14:30:04 +0000 UTC]

I guess it depends which one too, considering things like RE2 were originally going to have an entirely different story and cast. I'm not sure if I really know about any others. but yeah I remember all the hype (all 2 months of it) for RE6 being the biggest and greatest game from Capcom to date. From what I heard.... doesn't sound like it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LittleAngel321 In reply to DoubleLeggy [2013-01-25 22:35:37 +0000 UTC]

Indeed. I thought it would be the greatest series. I just hope they don't overuse some stuff. They over used Leon a little over the top...Basically one of the things they wanted to see was Chris and Leon fighting...The the Mystery guy that I thought was Steve....but actually was Jake Muller (long-story short, it wasn't pretty.). Though, after some time I got to feel excited and get it for a few day. For the gameplay. I think it's nice if you did the demo to warm up. I think the game was mostly for co-op play (thank god my older sister was there to make the fun better, otherwise It would be boring), because it had all the huge co-op stuff...But I stil say, this game is becoming more war like since there are zombies with guns...I find that on the cray-cray side....Anyways...I just hope there are no more new characters than them...Because. I have never really been the type to open up to new ones until I like them, or in a few months when they grow on me. Sometimes new characters are beneficial...Some...are not...(not pointing fingers).

Bleh, new characters... I hear Helena was a bit decent actually, and at least she hasn't been an eye-candy fest like the past.... every single new female. She's pretty but not busting out of her clothes.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LittleAngel321 In reply to DoubleLeggy [2013-01-28 14:32:44 +0000 UTC]

I'm on good terms with Helena actually. She's okay with me. Her costume is not bad either, just a cop, but lots of male players talk about her boobs bouncing if you zoom close....*rolling eyes* But Sherry is definently on my side, but I hate how they gave her lack of clothes and the men are just UHG...Are they trying to make her a sex tool??? Like I still picture her as that same kid in Raccoon city and even then they were still waiting for her to be 'legal'. Jake and Piers. I like them alot. They're my new favourite characters, but at first, I hated Jake. He was god-to-sworn enemy #1. But then after the demo, he saved my life over 8 times and I started to like him. Piers. I knew he would be a nice Character from the start, but many people are questioning his sexuality....So do I no offense to Piers....But anyways...Yeah. I'm on very good terms with the characters....except Ada and Carla.

DoubleLeggy In reply to LittleAngel321 [2013-01-28 16:10:34 +0000 UTC]

Did they really skimp on Sherry's clothes? I can't really remember. The trailers I just remember this cute blue puffy vest thing, but I guess that didn't make the final cut or something, which sucks. And yes, it's creepy since I still remember her as a 12 year old too so..... yuck. I think it's hilarious that my one prediction came out to be true and I had no basis for it, Piers having a man-crush on Chris... XD Oh well.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LittleAngel321 In reply to DoubleLeggy [2013-01-28 23:17:41 +0000 UTC]

Well. They made Sherry wear skimpy clothes in the hospital level which was just painful to see how many men masturbated to that, which I seen from many horrifying hentai pictures...*insert barfing here*. Yes you were right for the puffy vest thingy, you would see that in most of the levels I think since I already have the game...also, Jake was no different in that same level too. He only wore pants...no...it's not like I was trying to get a front view...or staring at his...nevermind. Well yeah Jake and Sherry both had to wear skimpy clothes in the level so in my opinion, it was good and awkward at the same time. Also, Sherry wears skimpy clothes in the Mercenaries level too. What happened is that when you get that costume...it is Sherry's old uniform from Raccoon City, Hooray we can start having sparkle parties,.,,Not! the problem is that it is TOO SMALL for her so it showed so much skin...as Leon would say "it's just her uniform...a little oversized...". Like even Helana had a less raunchy costume...I just have to give a facepalmed at that, but at the same time give credit that they actually still remember her costume...Really, what is Capcom trying to do, make Sherry a whore? That just ruins the concept. I knew that they try to make Sherry more of a grown woman since she is 26 years old, but I think they got carried away by trying to make her something so...not even going to try. I swear, out of all the costumes, I would rather wear Chris' Samurai costume! And yes...I thought Piers adored Chris...well I never mind that at all since it is fine by me. It's sorta sweet.

Urgh, yeah I see. I guess they were at least fair, making Jake all fanservice'd out too. But still even if its "fair", it doesn't sound necessary. It's weird to think now that even RE4 was tame in comparison to RE5, RE6, Revelations and the like now, those are all way too sexualized in my opinion.

LittleAngel321 In reply to DoubleLeggy [2013-01-29 14:30:26 +0000 UTC]

Sexuality in RE games aren't really my taste. It sorta takes away the style of the RE games...I don't mind if guys do fanservice because, that's pretty rare, but girls....That's off the chart. People use that too much. Like I see RE doujinshis and the first thing I see is Claire getting fucked by a zombie. Or Sherry being a prostitute. I know those are much worse than the games, but still...I hate how much sexual content they use. Are they trying to make it like "High School of the Dead"....? I hope not....

Your version of Sherry's story makes a lot more of sense than RE6's, and it would've been a very interesting setup for her return to the franchise. Years ago, ''Wesker's report'' stated that Sherry was in Wesker's possession... but then RE6 stated that she'd always been under the government's watch, protecting her from Wesker and his organization... Plot hole!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DoubleLeggy In reply to Tyrantastorga8 [2012-12-11 12:14:21 +0000 UTC]

It's a shame how they handled her story really. I was conflicted with the Wesker reports because the concept of taking Sherry was cool, but then it also used the LeonA ClaireB stories, while I preferred ClaireA LeonB (which in hindsight makes no sense since in that story Sherry was never infected). Wesker Reports ended up being dubbed non-canon though, I'm fairly certain. So we lost the Sherry plot but got ClaireA LeonB instead (since Sherry was in fact, infected).

Tyrantastorga8 In reply to DoubleLeggy [2012-12-16 18:33:43 +0000 UTC]

Indeed. Anyway, just by watching the intro of RE2 you can actually tell the game is supposed to by ClaireA LeonB, given the path each one takes. That, plus the Sherry infection thing and some other details.
Yeah, it is a shame they did not handle all that plot properly. I wonder what they'll do for RE7.

But anyways...!
