I agree with the positive comments so far on this. But what really struck me was the awesome dynamics in the framing of this. The way that the figure is shoved forward by the split background. And the angling of the top and bottom pieces of the background. Very successful. I'm curious what you used to force the posterization of the colours, is it a vector based piece or just a very careful raster?

For the figure, the hair is really great in terms of how it is defined, and also the colour used. It gives energy to the whole piece.

its not vector, its drawn by hand in photoshop with the paintbrush tool, achieving a vectoresque result.

cheers ive only ever done a couple of images inspired by Elisha, my female... but they always turn out pretty well. the ironic thing is... this image was done with some spite... kinda of a subtle message to her to cheer the hell up... but she thinks it looks great as it is... so, that message was lost.

lots of people seem to like it tho, so im happy.

Very insanely cool. The color adds a sort of inner happiness to her, a spark of hope. I like the framing because it leaves her so very alone, but on the other hand, it also requires you to, as you say, view the full image. Regardless, this took skill. Congrats.
