the crop at the bottom is great...looks like he's standing on the frame...and you're right about this in color...i think it's the tone of his skin...beautiful...

this deffinitely goes under favorite nudes under deviant pack, love the muscle and skin tone of the human body. he must really be in shape. the crop looks cool. like how he's standing on his feet. dont see alot of male nudes doing that. like it

This is absolutely exquisite. Well shot male nudes are SO hard to get...and he simply screams out with the warm golden tones of the body, the b&w background. the way you cropped it he could be standing on anything...

Doug, I absolutely love the cropping of this. Along with the simple clean lines of his muscles and the warm tones of his skin contrasting with the subdued grey background, I think the cropping right at the base of his feet makes the shot. Absolutely stunning.

Lovely again. All of these remind me of the video for Janet Jackson's "Love Would Never Do" song. I love that video. And I these photos. The use of color was perfect here.

Brilliant man, just brilliant. Using the guy's body as a compositional element was brilliant. The tones, the gradation in the background. I think more importantly though, the color of the model's body is in direct contrast to the b+w background. Perhaps that is why you like this photo so much.

well,male nudes are real hard to pull, i just am not sure about that gradient thingie looks blurred towards his feet... headspace...feetspace... i know,i almost cut all of mine cos im not paying attention during the shooting...a closeup of his back would be nice.

I like it for several reasons...
The colors are great while keeping the same grey tone in the background as the B/W's. It almost makes it look hand painted or like you desaturated the background for effect.
His pose is great for showing off the his muscles. The lighting is just right to show that off.
I like the way it is cropped. With him being on his toes from one angle it looked like he was standing on a shiny surface and there was a reflection of his feet. Then I looked at it full size and I could tell what was going on. When I came back to the details and looked again, even though I knew what was there it looked different still. Sort of satyr like with long spindly animal legs.
I think you get my point (longwinded as it is), that I like the shot.

Amazing muscle tone on this model... good idea to prop him up on his tip-toes to show of the calves. Great job setting up the lines, lighting, and stark contrast.
