Miguel kissed her neck, half expecting her to stop him. he took off his shirt, she felt the warmth of his skin and it made her melt. the rest was a blur of kisses, caresses and hearts being a mile a minute; holding on to the moment like the most beautiful dream.

He was like some kind of prince from a fairy tale; gentle, strong, handsome, kind ....even after such a short period of time she could tell- (despite the 'tough guy' persona) he had a beautiful soul; was everything she had been waiting for.

With his arms around her, they fell asleep wrapped in the red blanket. Julia closed her eyes and let the relaxing feeling of pure happiness drift her off to sleep but before sleep complacently took hold- something strange happened.

Miguel got in to a comfortable sleeping position (not easy on the hard desert ground) holding her body close to his, his lips close to her cheek, he then whispered something he assumed she did not hear.

"could someone like you ever truly love someone like me?"

Julia stayed quiet, wondering what that statement could possibly mean; was his heart truly so broken? perhaps, or maybe it translated to something more; he trusted her with his heart.

The next day they awoke and got back on the road heading towards the secret Mishima Zaibatsu with no words spoken for the first few hours.

"so what's the plan?" he said as the facility cam in to view. He was certain they would have to abandon the van soon, to avoid getting fired upon.

"simple, you back me up", i will go to an access point and you will keep the guards off me until I get what I need.

"where do we park?"

"here will be fine." she pulled off the road, slightly out of view of the facility. After they got what she was looking for they would go back to the van and head in to China where her "friends" could get her (and hopefully Miguel) back to the USA.

"you need a weapon?" she asked, her arsenal was limited but useful.

"I'll manage." he said, eagerly following her.

She knew exactly where to go. Many of the Mishima Zaibatsu lab locations were similar in layout, but she was in for one major surprise.

They had 2 different networks; one accessible by all employees and one accessible by people with a "security clearance."- that was the one with the information she promised Miguel; locations of safe houses use by Mishima Zaibatsu founders and officers. Even with the extra time having "back up" brought her, she could not hack in to the severely encrypted system. But why were no alarms going off? she was going at the secure system over and over; even with back up- it was way to quiet.

Suddenly Julia was struck with a realization; Mishima Zaibatsu knew what she was doing. They voluntarily played her game; giving her access to the biological growth technology, so she could make advancements- then they would steal it back again, and at the next Tekken tournament she would steal it back to her lab. Passing the data back in forth like a tennis ball.

But this time would be a little different. "Nina Williams....."

"You saved me a lot of time." the tall blonde said as holstered her weapon and she left out a window. Julia was too shocked to even go after her. Out the window Julia could see Nina and some guards loading Miguel's unconscious body in to bag then in to a helicopter.

Choking back tears she slowly walked out of the facility, seeing for the first time how it was all a ploy. No one stopped her. Some guards even stepped out of her way. Back in the van she took deep breaths to try to calm down.

She emailed herself zip files of the little data she managed to get. if she ever made it back to her lab she might see what it was; but now she needed to make things right.
If Miguel wasn't dead she would find him and they would take down Jin Kazama together.
