design notes
This esk is inspired by birds of paradise, many of which have specialized feathers that drastically change their look when displaying. The esk has similar feathers attached to the shoulders that normally lay flat against its sides. When it's time to show off, the feathers extend out to either side, revealing the previously hidden Barringtonia flowers.
