Description
I took a drive to the lake this evening and almost missed the sunset. There seemed to be a bank of clouds or mist just above the horizon line that the sun disappeared very quickly behind. I plopped myself down in the sand and just started shooting.There has been no processing to this shot.

Very beautiful "dove", the sun colored the sky so smoothly. Beautiful photography, the sky is a free show unappreciated.

Very nice Candace, that type of cloudy/misty look is different. What a interesting place I googled and was amazed at the amount of water there is, if its Canada's thirteenth largest lake I wonder how huge the top five are

Did you take any on a higher ISO. Or from the wider end of the lens

I only got about 10 shots before the sun was completely gone. It was amazing how fast it dropped.
I didn't even think to change the ISO and I was trying to keep a bit of the beach in the shot as well as that little wisp of a cloud. It was the only cloud in the sky. That was what was so weird. There didn't appear to be any distant clouds and yet the sun disappeared behind a bank of something, before it got to the horizon line of the lake. This is at the very south shore of Lake Manitoba.

Yes it does not take long for the sun to go down so I can understand. Try taking pics of bees one minute
