I admit to having a liking for Jobe's character, although she will need a new name.

Oh! Ooooh!
Well, now I'm off to see the Wizard. For my companions, one of those little yipping dogs, a stuffed mentally challenged individual, a heartless axe-wielding tree murderer, and a royal heir with self-confidence issues.

What's even more interesting is that the Wizard of OZ books also contained a TG story. In the second book the main character is a boy who it is eventually revealed to be the heir to the throne of the Emerald City (the wizard had deposed the ruler). The baby girl was given to a witch who turned her into a boy and raised her as her adoptive son. Eventually the truth was revealed and when he was a teen he was returned to her true form by Glinda the Good Witch.
Surprising that that sort of thing was put into a childrens book around a hundred years ago.

Yeah, but the individual grew up completely believing that they had been born male. They went thought the whole 'should I change, should I stay' debate and finally decided to turn girl. Of course, becoming the ruler of OZ was certainly a perk.
One of the really amusing parts of that book is that the Tin Man was shown to have needed to ask for a brain as well as a heart. His entire army was made of high-level officers with one enlisted rank soldier who had to obey EVERYONE, poor guy. The Tin Man is also vain. He had himself plated with platinum.
