Pixar should do a cars toon where mater and McQueen go to a car show full of VWs and THEN Herbie...not only makes a cameo...but plays a major role in the episode!!!!!! What do you think?

yep. though i'm not going to paint it like herbie. see the old beetles are the kind of car where when you drive them you start to project their own personality onto them. so it wouldn't be appropriate to paint him like herbie if it doesn't have that personality.

Well they actually had a hard time deciding so they got a bunch of different cars and put them on the Disney film lot to see how people react to them. With most of the cars people kicked a tire or reached into the driver's seat. But then they would come up the the Volkswagen and they'd gently touch the hood like they were greeting a pet, after noting how positively people reacted to that car they picked the Volkswagen for the movie

yep. also another fact. the scene where herbie is on the bridge railing was filmed first and the actor who played jim Douglas kept laughing and they had to reshoot the scene several times. the actor of course was just not used to the idea of the car being alive yet.

Missing a wheel never stopped Herbie! Let's see... sawed in half two different ways, fought a plane and a bull, floated down the Rio Grande, was carried by villagers, jumped rooftops with an old lady on board...did I miss anything?

Nice stuff! The eyes and the mouth are just perfect! The fact that I loved the movie, as well as I'm a big fan of Bettle makes it even more tempting for me!
