I’ve been wanting to do a mini comic about Meyer’s backstory for awhile. He’s a favorite of mine within the PIPER universe.

Captain Dominic Meyer Is an officer in the stallo Army. And ever since childhood he’s been plagued by maskwearers (demons). He sees things others can’t and has been stalked by misfortune every step of the way.

Stallo soldiers (especially officers) must embody the ideals of their nation. The stallo army is feared throughout the world as stern and bloodthirsty giant warlords who are merciless in battle. They’re taught to be fearless and unyielding because they are the first line of defense against the violent and tyrannical forces of the prescriptivist drudes and their hordes.

As a captain, Meyer must keep pushing forwards in his career, and face the cataclysms of the battle field. But while one storm raged without another rages within.

Why are these demons chasing him? Why do they seem hell bent on killing him?

And will he survive long enough to find out?

In this first page, we’re following Dominic’s first encounter with the demons.

I’m excited for this comic…
