i really like this concept, and it does work well with the LRRH theme (a theme that i love way too much xD)
i can only imagine how difficult it was to paint with this lighting, you've done a great job with it!

Red riding hood was always my favorite story. Even if it didn't start out that way, I think this is my favorite interpretation yet.

This definitely alters the common "Little Red Riding Hood" fairy tale we are all used to. Red herself looks a little older here than in most interpretations, judging from her prounced lips, elongated face, and taller stature. Her hood and cloak, usually velvet or some other elgant fabric, here appears to have the texture of tarp, or even some hand-woven croqueted cotton. It is even torn in places, showing its age and how worn it is, which is more pragmatic for her usually down-to-earth character. Her veiled eyes show that she has some mystery herself, and that she may she lost some of that innocence.
The glowing crystals are a bit of a mystery, but they do offer a mystical light source to bath our principal characters in. We can see the light absorbed delicately by both characters.
The big bad wolf has a more demonic presence here. The eyes glow like fiery embers, and the rest of his body seems to spring from the darkness and tangled vines around him spontaneously. The muzzle is full of fangs that demonstrate his ferocity.
This is a haunting piece that plays on more mature interpretations of the clssic fairy tale. Well done
