we killed(haha) 4 hours in a library today, and I found a pen. and a paper. and then it was doomed. 
then I spaced out in PSLOL and then there was a nice discussion:
- haha, why not: "gardener with scythe and ragged clothing"
- gardener..?
- he has a scythe, its obvious he usually spends his time cutting grass!
- and smoking
- he smokes the grass he cuts!
...its called "a productive addict"

I would let him tend my garden.
He'd fit in perfectly amongst the ruins and the trees.

See, I couldn't make something like this with pen without screwing it up at least a few times--even if I was hatching the hell out of a long, billowy cloak.
I can't even begin to imagine how you differentiated between robe, holes, rags, and smooth scythe with just a pen--but it is there, I can see it!
All those penstrokes makes for a very whispy Reaper, with his robes seemingly made out of the same smoke that escapes his cigarette. Wha did you use to color the gems, and how did you color them without overlapping that white bubble of shine from the light source? Well done

Now, how is this not screwed up a few times? 
the scythe is the smoothest part I think because then I actually KNEW in what DIRECTION to draw
The whispy feel is easily aquired with a pen
and... hehe.. about the gems... photoshop is your friend!
