Description As I was trying to to redo Mimimon's evo line for the next round of the tournament, I decided to instead finalise the designs of my Digimon story characters; Digimon Fairytale! The name may change haha I wasn't really feeling Delete too much but the characters and Digimon do make appearances in Fairytale. All of the major Digimon and villains are based on either fairytale characters or fairytale stories. This last one belongs to the sweet, motherly girl character.

Satoumon - Culamon - Elvenmon - Rodskomon - Devoutmon - BotteGatomon

I'm really proud of these designs just because I think they're very different to what a lot of people might do with the same source. Same again with the baby and in-training, they're recycled/updated. The main theme behind this was originall the story of the Elves and the Shoemaker, mixed with the story of the Red Shoes. So the naked elf who made the shoes (Elvenmon) is granted with clothes for his help to the shoemaker (Rodskomon). But I then added the RS story in, which is also where Rodskomon's name is from. In that story, after being unable to stop dancing, the little girl cuts off her feet and is given wooden feet, but the shoes continue to dance with her feet still in them. Devoutmon thus has wooden legs and moves by dancing because I thought that'd be really fun. The mega evolution is from the last major shoe-based fairytale I know of, Puss in Boots. This is also the reason why Elvenmon has a tail. BotteGatomon was originally a muscular catman thing but he was hideous so I just decided to pull in the one true cat digimon, Gatomon, and make a cute mega based on that design. I tried to pull in bits from all the forms for this design (basic shape of Elvenmon, colours and some clothes designs from Rodskomon, and wooden stilts based on Devoutmon's legs). I'm really pleased with this line!

This is probably the most original one! I like how you tie all the fairy tales together too.

Fairytales have such weird and wacky ideas with so much potential that it just makes sense to mix them together a bit I think.

Also, they tend to have common themes, even if the characters are different.
