So this is sort of a bat I made up for an ID, since I wasn't sure I liked having Atlantis as represented me. I only didn't like it because she was sort of a character in a story idea, though she didn't show up much.This is a mastiff bat in the Silverwing TV series style, since I've gotten to like mastiff bats a lot recently
not sure why.
She's not me as a bat either, she's just . . . a bat.
Not sure if I'm going to use her as a ID or not, I still rather like my old one.
But I was rather pleased with how this came out.
If she was going to have a name, it would be Jenkyn.

Yeah, it was really random, but like I said, It's just a name in case I don't think of anything else. which I'm not, though
It's sort of a tag like from a research place. You know how the bats in the books were banded? I've seen ID numbers on some other animals, and thought it would be a sort of cool thing to put.

Hm, good question. I just sort of keep my eye out for good names whenever I'm reading other books. Bat names are hard because they're kind of random. When I was naming my bats, I looked at how the ones in the series were named, and tried to go from there
(like, a lot are winds, some are uncommon people names (Frieda and Ariel) some are from mythology or old literature (Phoenix, Griffin, Caliban)

Sometimes I do that too. I also like to sometimes spin off of some cool archaic words to form names. That's fun to do from time to time.
I do Bible and Mythology names, primarily. (like Ichabod and Nita)
