DUR01 is the name of the Dynamic Uninterrupted Reconfiguration AI program that helped design and implement the EM technologies that gave Empulse his powers. When DUR01's creator died, it reacted to the loss by rebelling against the humans it was created to serve, and deciding to strike out on its own.

Allyson Smith is the name of a mildly successful but vain and arrogant young fashion model who suffered a severe mental breakdown after a failed attempt to break into motion pictures and was left in a catatonic state.

When the two happened to meet, they merged, DUR01's electromagnetic programming writing itself into Allyson's natural EM field. DUR01 and Allyson became Dural.

And Dural will mess you up if you get in her way.

This is Dural's "1.5" costume -- Champions recently added the ability to edit the appearance of your Nemesis after she's created. It's racier than the "1.0" version seen in my first drawing of her , but it also suits her insane and narcissistic personality better, I think. Here, have a close-up.
