Beautiful!! Definitely remnds me of the Polish or Crabbet type Arabian! I love how your grey horses can be sooo realistic!! You always find the right places to shade, how much, etc.

Hmmmn... I'm reminded of Quarabs with this one, especially because of the short little "fox" ear and the thicker throatlatch (even the most unrefined Arabian has a relatively delicate throatlatch that enables lots of flexion at the poll.) Lightening some of the "eye makeup" could almost make this a buckskin ranch horse.

hah define as you wish. i know there is certain styles to arabs than the traditional one. if id a had more room for the other part of his body it might of given him more of an arab feel, but ahh well.

Agreed. All of my Arabians are of the less refined (though equally pretty) Polish Arabian lines associated to Kuhailan breeding. They're by no means as dainty as, say... an Egyptian horse... however, they do meet the overall breed standards for conformation and type.

oh of course. I like the fuller arabs, if i had to choose. just looks like you have more horse there. maybe besides in the halter classes, but when a person is atride them i think the thicker arabs look better ;D

I think they are both very nice, I cant see where you would think one is better than the other. This one has more of a quarter arab look to me. Love it!

This is really a beautiful drawing. The anatomy of it and the shading look especially great, as well as how you drew the strands of the mane. My favorite part has to be how the edge of the eye can just barely be seen through the black marking.
You did an awesome job here. Was this working from a photo?
