Description These guys are somewhat outdated...Unconventional's US name is Mold Breaker and Simple Minded is now Simple.

Capank (Top; Name Origin: Capybara + (River)Bank)
Pond Rodent Pokemon
Water/Electric Type
Ability:
Simple: Effects from Hold Items and Attacks are increased.

Water/Electric Type
Ability:
Simple: Effects of Hold Items and Attacks are increased.
Stage 1 Pokemon (Evolves from Capank at level 25)
Flavour Text
The different colored pads on BARYCA's back are actually electricity-storing pouches. BARYCA's electricity-storing pouches are surprisingly soft, and if it trusts you enough, can function like a saddle.

Aritum (Middle Right; Name Origin: Derived from Arikui and the phrase "I'll eat'em")
Anteater Pokemon
Rock/Poison Type
Ability:
Gluttony: Uses Held berries quicker
Mold Breaker: The Opponent's Ability has no effect
Basic Pokemon
Flavour Text
A common threat to PYRANT colonies, ARITUM is known to throw rocks or use smoke clouds to distract guarding SOLDIANT. Once inside the colony, ARITUM hunt small PYRANT.

Orityu (Bottom; Name Origin: Ooarikui and the phrase "Or eat you")
Anteater Pokemon
Rock/Poison Type
Ability:
Battle Armor: Blocks Critical hits.
Mold Breaker: The Opponent's Ability has no effect.
Stage 1 Pokemon (Evolves from Aritum at level 35)
Flavour Text
ORITYU's claws are as hard as diamond, and are able to shatter even steel with little effort. With thick hides and tremendous power, they can easily lay waste to PYRANT colonies.

Heh..."I'll eat'em or eat you"...clever, eh? *cricket chirps* I don't have to f***ing impress you! *storms off*

EDIT: ~ravenouswolf pointed this out. [link] Tell me that's not Aritum's twin!

Excellent work. The detail on the drawing is impressive and I like the clever way you named the ant-eater types.

It seems that you and I possess a common mindset for Fakemon...I myself am working on an anteater, a ram, and a mosquito.
Your stuff is rather impressive, I'll be checking back here more often.

Glad ya think so.

Fake Pokemon are fairly easy to come up with. I can think of one and have it drawn out in roughly twenty minutes, and I like to think of animals that haven't been officially made into Pokemon. Surprisingly, I don't make too many weak Pokemon, as many of mine have the potential to be useful in teams, some even as tanks and sweepers. I've rarely put too much thought into movesets, except for Ramid, my ram.

Sorry to rant. Thanks!

Exactly, I work the same way. Most of my fakemon are in sprite form, since that is my area of expertise outside of writing.

annnnnd i hate to be a nag, but is the second claw on Aritum's right foot missing?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragga In reply to ravenouswolf [2007-04-11 00:55:26 +0000 UTC]

Well, it depends on how you take the pose. I did it with the intent of the claws going in the same direction and since there the same shape and size, it'd be kind of like an overshadowing effect.

Although I could've gone more dramatic and added the second claw to show them being sprawled with the jump.
