Okay, so I did notice this picture yesterday, but I wasn't sure what to say.
I really respect your work, you're a really good artist!
I want you to know that if you would have just asked me in the first place, I would have probably been fine with you borrowing the design.
Never be afraid to ask the artist.
I am glad that you now have me credited in the info, because I saw that I wasn't before.
I truly do understand how these things can happen, but... It still doesn't make it okay.
You can still use the design for this tournament if you need.
However that design is one of my favourite, and more personal ones, so I am feeling a bit touchy about it.
I'll say this:
Try putting yourself in the same situation where you find out someone you respect took one of your designs that you worked really hard on, and this person didn't even make
a mention of you. And then this artist takes all the credit for it. It doesn't feel all too great...
But, again, I do appreciate that you put a link in the decription to my picture now.
I still really respect you as an artist, and I hope to see your art grow! And honestly, I am happy you like my work and designs!
I hope you understand that I'm not really angry angry with you. Mostly sad. Because it saddens me to see a good aritst take from others when I know you can do great things yourself! <3

now i know this will end up to you, butt i will say this:
dont do it again, it is more fun watching something that is "new" and "yours". think of it if it was you that some one "stomped" al ower a design and then did not say or credit for the inspiration. it will feel much better if you make something from scratch. everyone does misstakes but then it is a persons responsibillity to accept it and NOT smooth it ower whit excusess, for i will tell you, you made her really sadden of it

No, it's not just 'what happens'. It's something you absolutely don't do. It's wrong to take credit for something someone else actually worked hard on, it's considered theft and is something you could be reported over. Your attitude about this almost makes me want to contact the contest you're in so you'll understand how immoral this is.
and no, you did too copy the pose, you only changed the hands a little. it's still 90% the same pose as the work you copied.

I didn't miss it, and it wasn't resolved 8 hours ago. My friend was really upset about this and dragol still didn't understand what she did was wrong at the point. I understand you're defending your friend here but so am I. In every response up until I wrote my reply she had not even credited drobvirks or apologized in any way, she was still acting like it was nothing.
However NOW she has admitted what she's done and UNDERSTAND it's wrong. I have no further beef with her and hope all of this just blows over so we all can continue with whatever.

Dragol did understand because I was the one who told her to put your friend in the credits when she came to me after having stayed up for days working on Roulette City with me alongside with working on her Miss OC entry as well as her Sanctum entry. It isn't any attempt to excuse what happened but mistakes to get made when you're up for 4 days in a row. She was panicked and didn't know how to really react to it at all since in her mind it was a Halloween Event and much like the holiday itself, you don't carry copyright paperwork with you to show to people to ensure you have permission from Warner Brothers Studios to wear your home-made batman costume. It was an issue of clarity due-in-part to the nature of the holiday. It was wrong, but when she realized the issue, she did take action which for her speaks much louder than words do for the sake of her apology.
I am glad that you stood up for your friend and did what was right in informing dragol and the rest of us so we could do what we can to correct the problem in as peaceful a manner as possible. You have represented Drobvirks very well in all this, but you can't guarantee any of the others will and when they misrepresent her, it only shows Drobvirks as being petty and allowing these people to speak on her behalf because she doesn't want to say it herself. Do you truly want her to be shown as being a coward? I don't think she is, but I'm becoming thoroughly more convinced of the fact the longer she allows this lambasting to continue.

Thanks for understanding our situation as well. None of us hate Drogol, and I hope she knows that. I know how stressful oct's can be and she regrets doing what she did. I apologize if I seemed too hard on her but it's a serious thing in my book that happens too often. it is not intended as a witchhunt or personal attack, I'm sure this goes for everyone who came to defend drob.
Please know she didn't ask us to do anything, when she was informed of this she didn't send her fans or anything to burn down the site. She spoke about it to a few close friends and we didn't want to see her hurt so we acted. She isn't hiding behind us, we just care a lot and are acting on our own. And I can say that some of the replies sent by drogol's friends has misrepresented her as much and cast her in a bad light in the process. Drobvirks isn't 'allowing' anything to continue, you can see her replies beneath here and on the ID page that she wishes to end this peacefully.

Your situation is highly understandable. I usually am the one to tell Dragol about these situations since I'm used to dealing with legal matters in the realm of art but I was passed out on my keyboard at the time of posting to bring it up. It's part of my responsibility to bear here.
I have already begun cracking down in private with some of those who are misrepresenting her. It is highly upsetting to see that her own fans are acting so disgracefully but if we each do our parts, I think we can end this quickly and calmly.
I know that Drobvirks wants to end this, but she has also stated she will not do anything about it. It is then left up to how much people respect her to not further the issue. Sadly, restraint is a difficult rock to climb when you can just 'let go'. Therefore, it is on both our parts to make sure that our friends do not bring shame on Dragol or Drobvirks in the eyes of the public.

I assure you Drobvirks has done what she can to keep this from getting worse. She cant physically hold down anyone and make them quit the conversations they're into. Most those Drobvirks talked to about this has left, Tessan haven't posted anything, I have said what I wanted and have nothing more to add, Drobvirks herself is negotiating and maintaining a friendly attitude and orianj most likely have nothing further to add if all is well between drob and dagol. That's all Drobvirks can affect, if there are any other parties in this bothering you they have no contact with us and we have no control over them. It's like dragol can't stop someone from threatening to cut her boyfriend if he don't stop defending drob.
Let's just end this, you have contact with dragol. Tell her we aren't out for blood or anything and are as ready to forget about this as she is. All left to do really is saying sorry for taking the dress to drobvirks and for us to say sorry for making this bigger then it could have been. We're all adult, intelligent and rather handsome people who can lay this to rest.

I'll talk to her about it then. I feel that the lack of apology comes from a misunderstanding since her way of apologizing tends to be through jokes or self-deprecation. I'll let her know and you'll get the apology when she wakes up in the morning. Apologies that this all got blown out of proportion for you and Drobvirks.

Thank you so much, I've passed on the message. Again, I'm sorry we came on hard and made her feel bad. Drob's art have been copied and such many times. Not everyone is easy to talk to about this. Some just ignore or takes things that don't belong to them elsewhere to show off. Then sometimes you just assume the worst because you've seen it so many times before and people get hurt as a result.
Dragol is none of those nasty things she's called herself in her new id and I wish you both the best of luck in your tournament.

Going through an art college rampant with art theft, I do come off a bit numb to it all since I see things at this point in a very 'business-minded' side of things, but that doesn't devalue anyone's feelings on the subject. Judging in Sanctum had it's own people accusing others of art theft in situations where people did not and the often violent speed of hostile reaction. Witch-hunts usually come after and without even caring to resolve the issue they just want to crucify someone. I guess I just attempted to brace for something that fortunately didn't get too out of hand so I apologize again to you and Drog's friends for the trouble.

It is a Halloween costume for for-fun OC event which I don't concider as a "work" at all, more like mix between learning-fun-killingtime. I didn't draw any mormal works for months already because of OCTs which is not art, it's for fun.

It doesn't matter if it's just 'for fun' or 'halloween', honestly. That doesn't even begin to address what I said. You took credit for someone else's design by both not crediting her in the submission info (at least not until a few folks called you on it) and in the comments you received before then.
Work or not, fun or not or whatever is never a reason to take credit for someone else's work. It's just not cool.
