Description
So, here's the Remilitarized Imperial Japanese Navy or 大日本帝国海軍 (dainippon-teikoku-kaigun). It's flagship is the HIJMS (His Imperial Japanese Majesty's Ship) Hokkaido, a Gerald R. Ford Class nuclear Air Craft Carrier and given as a gift to Japan upon its completion. Due to its size as the largest vessel in the Japanese Fleet, the Chief of the Maritime Staff decided to name it after the largest of the Prefectures of Japan: the Island Hokkaido. Another Hokkaido class super carrier is in the process of being built by IHI Marine United in heavy communication with and assistance of Newport News.

Considering the Activity of the PLAN in the last couple of years I wouldn't be surprised if the IJN turns out to be one of the most important of the Military Branches used during WWIII. The only thing separating Japan and China is the Korea Strait, the East China Sea, and the Sea of Japan. And Russia and North Korea are uncomfortably close as well.
