On the surface, Kai looks like your stereotypical overprotective older brother. But he's not. He's fine with Michiyo dating practically anyone...except Sasuke.
Why? Because he left Konoha.
In his point of view, Kai's the one who stayed behind and protected and comforted Michiyo after Sasuke's defection. And he pretty much hates Sasuke for hurting Michiyo (though she would be the last to admit she was hurt by his leaving...). However, he tolerates him for Michiyo's sake only.
If it were up to him, he'd kick Sasuke's pasty white ass into next week.
But, he's not a complete ass. So he won't. <3
