A piece I made inspired by the Frances the Mute concept album by The Mars Volta.
Hope you like it! I just tried to pay a little tribute, I really need to make more music inspired pieces.
Experimented a lot with my way of using my pencils, I used them in a way that it'd have a more paint-y feel, as much as I could get without watercolor or actual paint lmao, I should use those sometime.

As for the album and what it has to do with the drawing, it's very symbolic, the concept/story of the album isn't very clear, but I invite you to look it up, I'll just say it deals with criticism of religion and touches some really sad and sometimes gruesome topics through the story of the protagonist trying to find his roots and solve the mystery of his dead mother, also owls and snakes are constant symbols through the album, representing various things.

Music wise this thing is simply amazing, successfully blends jazz fusion, progressive rock, funk, latin music, dub, reggae, and even weird-ass noise passages, it's very crazy and all over the place but very emotional and rewarding.
