I love light, desaturated greens and purples. And anime elves of course. In my opinion I should've spent a little more time on the wings. I did them last and in a hurry bacause I'd been drawing for hours and just wanted to be done with it. It looks like both wings spring from the same shoulder since I neglected to make the wings transparent before merging the layers they were on...Done from scratch in photoshop, using a graphic tablet.

Actually I do have an Elfwood Lothlorien Gallery. It's old and I haven't updated it in a long, long time, but it's there.
And it's quite possible I posted this there as well, as it was made just before I joined DA. (the overlap days)

Alright. I just thought I'd check because I keep seeing people rip off other's works, and yeah.
I remembered seeing this a while back on Elfwood, so yeah.. I have a gallery there as well.. I don't like that site, they're too strict on what you can, and cannot upload.. Makes me want to smack them upside the head.
Deviantart bothers me too because they don't do much about people ripping other's work, and they ban people for no real reason..
Blah.. I think it's time to find new site.

DA is growing still, so there's hope, but Elfwood is very much set in it's ways...
but yeah, I've seen (and even experienced) some ripping on DA. The only ways to deal with it is to report the ripped image to the admins and see what happens

DA has grown too much. There are too many members, and most of them seem to have zero experience in anything. Like the children who post stick figures. They should have some sort of system like Elfwood so only so many people can join and they must have some experience.. I hate seeing stick figures and poorly drawn things.. But I'll quit bitching, I'm sure you probably get tired of it

Plus I don't understand why people must rip other's works.. It just seems so low ...

I could argue that the stick-figure children are here to learn, but it's been my experience that they think of DA as more of a hang-out place than a place to post art.
but yeah, there should be some criteria to becoming a member, though maybe not as strict as Elfwood

I agree... And it is possible that those that draw the stick figures want to learn, but shouldn't they try a bit harder than just stick figures? I mean damn X_X

this is fantastic. the clothing is folded perfectly, the head, the wings, everything! its awesome! i'm still trying to figure out how to do good anime noses and eyes and mouths! this is crazy. great work!!

But working from scratch and coming up with something like this is a truly commendable feat !

neat execution, love the admosphere, u have good color sense, if it was me i wont b able 2 imagine what color should apply on the skin under the bluish light like that. n i cant paint even with tablet i have in the office!!

anyway enough about me, this piece reminds me a lot of japanese art the way the hair flows and the posture of the figure. very very nice!

Beautiful! Great drawing, nice folds in the clothes and very nice wings. I know you mentioned that the wings were done in a hurry, but maybe the edge of the left wing could be slightly defined more (and I mean slightly, since they are transparent) to seperate it from the right wing. All in all, fantastic work.
