Description Ok so even though this is just a basic background for a more complex image .. It felt like it wanted a name of it's own... .. .

Thank you!!! ...
I think the relaxing part comes from the different movement rhythms in the image ... .. Always moving .. always changing .. always there ... .. .

I think that is from the different rhythms in the image ... always changing .. always moving .. but always there ... .. .

thank you!!! ... Now I must decide the next layer ... I haven't done the circle thingy in a while ... I could use the perspective tool and maybe pierce the background... .. do some scale changes to really add to the complexity...  Hmmm ... .. .

Agree with Emerald-T, hypnotic. And gives me the feeling it moves forward and backwards ... incessantly. Very good work!

Existence is made up of overlapping fields and forces all with their own distinct rhythm ... .. . With this part I was seeing how many variables I could fit easily into three layers ... .. .

Only 3 layers for this gif?

Dragonforge In reply to TrishLaWitch [2019-09-21 22:44:29 +0000 UTC]

Pretty much ... but ... a lot of variations in each layer ... size and color mostly with some sharpen and blur thrown in ...  Then overlay the three as somewhat transparent and each change in each layer is multiplied in its effect... .. . I really am trying to find a lazy way to make complex looking images ... .. .

Part of the reason for my explanations is to reinforce my very poor memory ... It is a bummer to have to constantly reinvent the wheel  ... .. . sigh ... .. . but ... .. . I can reread a book every two months till it wears out ... .. .

oh my!!!!!! this is so mesmerizing. I've sat here for a long time just looking at it. This looks pretty complex just by itself.

Thank you so much James for submitting it to the group and sharing julia with our members.

Thank you !!! ... The nice thing about complexity is that it is just a lot of very simple stuff arranged in an interesting pile ... .. . now to figure out the next layer ... hmm ... Earth .. Air .. Fire and Water come to mind ... .. .

... I think that I do gifs differently because I didn't read the instructions or go through the tutorials when I started... was having too much fun playing with the bells and whistles of the drawing programs... .. so I have blind spots ... but ... some of the things I do are because I didn't know that I couldn't ... .. .

You sound like me.  I get so excited when I get a new program  that I just jump in and start playing with all the features instead of reading  the help files.  I try so many different ways to try to do something by the time I finally get what I'm after I've forgotten what I did to get there.

... same ... but ... there are only a few effects that I haven't been able to figure out ...  It helps to know that it is possible .. and I have done it .. . somehow ... .. .
