Now I'm imagining what it would be like if STAR FOX came across THE GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY I think they would make powerful allies to THE REBEL ALLIANCE & their FIGHTER SQUADRON against THE EVIL GALACTIC EMPIRE!!!

Yeah that could work. They would like the ideals of what the Rebel Alliance have to combat against the Galactic Empire.

The one thing I was surprised is that the arwing in Starlink is similar to Star Fox Assault's arwing design. It's nice to see Nintendo is starting to give Star Fox Assault the respect and attention they deserves from StarLink, as well as Krystal's Adventure look from Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

And you and I both know that the Sewing design from Assault is the best of them all. As for Krystal agreed as well. I like her Assault uniform also. So you are planning to get Starlink Battle for Atlas on the Switch?

Yeah considering Assault's arwing looks futuristic unlike previous designs that's mostly the SF64 arwing style. I wonder what the transformation walker mode would look like in the Assault arwing style. Hell yeah, mainly for the Star Fox collectable figures of the arwing and Fox.

True. One can dream on that. As for Starlink yeah that Arwing and figurine is the cheapest you can get for it than $300 for the Arwing from F4P. What about new Amiibos for Fox, Falco and Wolf for Ultimate? Would you get them also?

Well the Switch exclusive will have the figures for 15 dollars more going to about 75 dollars for a 60 dollar game. So I’m just gonna wait until then. As for the amiibos in SSBU, yeah I would get them as I have some of the amiibos I truly want from the Wii U. I just hope the amiibos will have special content for any random game, like the characters and abilities, costumes or extra special modes.

Hope so, but I’m hoping for Star Fox getting their own lineup of amiibos for the next SF game, much like Mario and Zelda games do for Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey. Or something unique like Sonic dressed as Link in Lost World but with Star Fox costumes

Amiibos aside, I recently have a theory in mind in regards of the games I posted on Twitter. Since Krystal is her Adventure look as an assist trophy in SSBU (for the moment if Sakurai considers Krystal to be playable as he say there may be things he'll change from now until then) and the Orbital Gate Assault stage will return, and Fox and crew are in their SF Zero-ish redesigns, and the Assault's arwing style in Starlink Battle for Atlas; what if Nintendo is thinking on planning on giving Star Fox Adventures a more polished and thought up story by having Krystal playable and having a prologue of her planet to foreshadow her planet for another game along having Andross's involvement of Krystal and Nintendo making the game similar to Star Fox Assault's on-foot and probably SF Zero's arwing and landmaster transformation for the gameplay? I mean, yes Star Fox Zero is a reimagining and (thankfully) not a reboot and Star Fox 2 has came out after 25 years of being left in the dark, but I have to wonder what if Nintendo might plan on expending the missing lore in the 8 year gap of SF2 to Adventures as a set of mini stories.

It could be possible or reintroduce Krystal in a whole new limelight as well since we both know she is already an established character in the series and she is not going anywhere. However I read a recent interview Sakurai had and with the fact that Smash Ultimate will likely be the last Smash game that will feature everyone who has appeared in previous entries of Smash, he said that not all the characters here in Ultimate will come back which I will go into that in a moment. And he mentioned of a very likely chance of there to be a new Smash game in the future after Ultimate. You and I both know that Ultimate will not be the last Smash game in the series. I believe that the next game will not only have most of the roster cut again, but make way for more newcomers in the future. Now that Krystal is an Assist Trophy in Ultimate, it could be very possible that she could get the Little Mac treatment for the next Smash game and finally make her into a playable character considering that even as we speak there are a good number of fans out there including us two who would like to see her playable so the demand is still high and will continue that way until she is playable. For the cut characters here is the list that I believe that may get cut for Smash after Ultimate for the next game.
Mario series: Dr. Mario and Daisy
Zelda series: Toon Link and Young Link
Pokemon series: Greninja and Lucario, and Pichu
Fire Emblem series: Corrin, Lucina and Robin
Third Party characters: Bayonetta, Snake, Cloud, and Ryu
Nintendo characters: Mii Fighters(Gunner, Swordfighter and Gunner) and Wii Fit Trainer, Duck Hunt Dog, and Dark Pit
For the characters I think are going to stick around after Ultimate are as follows
Mario series: Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Rosalina and Luma, Peach, Yoshi, Wario
Zelda series: Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Sheik
Pokemon series: Pikachu, Mewtwo, Pokemon Trainer(includes Charizard, Squirtle and Ivysaur) and Jigglypuff
F-Zero series: Captain Falcon
Starfox series: Fox, Falco and Wolf
Kirby series: Kirby, Meta Knight and King Dedede
Kid Icarus series: Pit and Palutena
Punch Out series: Little Mac
Ice Climbers series: Ice Climbers
Game and Watch series: Mr. Game and Watch
Xenoblade Chronicles series: Shulk
Fire Emblem series: Marth, Ike and Roy
Third Party characters: Sonic, Mega Man and Pac-Man
Metroid series: Samus, Zero Suit Samus and Ridley
Earthbound series: Ness and Lucas
Pikmin series: Olimar
Animal Crossing series: Villager
Retro Nintendo characters: R.O.B
Splatoon series: Inkling
What do you think of this?

Well, we'll just have to wait and see what happens next as so far both SF Zero and SF2 (in a way to some people) established a "reboot" when it's not with transforming vehicles. Maybe if Adventures and Assault were to get some sort of reimagining, my best guess the gameplay has to include all kinds of elements I said in my gameplay idea. Future Star Fox Gameplay Idea
It maybe true, depending which characters we're talking about from a specific company that's obsessed with the copyright law (don't know how that works). What if companies decide to collab with Nintendo again for the next Smash Bros game like Square Enix, Namco, and CapCom. What if Nintendo is saving money just to buy some big name company or products in the future. Think about it. It's almost like the major company is slowly but surely getting other companies and properties under it's belt. Look at Disney, it managed to get LucasFilms, Marvel, and now 20th Century Fox for billions of dollars. Yeah I'm sure the Krystal would get the Little Mac treatment (depending if the makers manage to change it between now or the next game), hell I'm betting that Shadow the Hedgehog is one of the next characters who made it on the roster as Knuckles is the assist trophy, yet no sign of Shadow.
As for those I think are getting the cut, they're:
Mario series: Dr. Mario and Daisy (depend if Echo Fighters are a legit new change)
Zelda series: Toon Link (my bet is unlikely but I want it to happen) and Young Link
Pokemon series: Pichu
Fire Emblem series: Corrin, Lucina and Robin
Kid Icarus series: Dark Pit
Third Party characters: Bayonetta (who knows), Snake, Cloud (maybe), and Ryu (don't know)
Nintendo characters: Wii Fit Trainer, Duck Hunt Dog,
For the characters I think are going to stick around after Ultimate are as follows
Mario series: Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Bowser Jr. (I personally want him and his siblings gone), Rosalina and Luma, Peach, Yoshi, Wario
Zelda series: Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Sheik
Pokemon series: Pikachu, Mewtwo, Pokemon Trainer(includes Charizard, Squirtle and Ivysaur), Lucario, Greninja and Jigglypuff
F-Zero series: Captain Falcon
Starfox series: Fox, Falco and Wolf
Kirby series: Kirby, Meta Knight and King Dedede
Kid Icarus series: Pit and Palutena
Punch Out series: Little Mac
Ice Climbers series: Ice Climbers
Game and Watch series: Mr. Game and Watch
Xenoblade Chronicles series: Shulk
Fire Emblem series: Marth, Ike and Roy
Third Party characters: Sonic, Mega Man and Pac-Man
Metroid series: Samus, Zero Suit Samus and Ridley
Earthbound series: Ness and Lucas
Pikmin series: Olimar
Animal Crossing series: Villager
Retro Nintendo characters: R.O.B
Splatoon series: Inkling
Nintendo characters: Mii Fighters (Gunner, Swordfighter and Gunner)

If Nintendo does that with buying other companies like that it could be a bit of a monopoly there like the Disney/Fox deal. As for some of the characters like the Pokemon series, that is a tough choice for some there like Greninja or Lucario. Because will they be relevant again when the next Smash game comes around? As for the Starfox series, with the recent releases of some of the previous Starfox games again along with Fox and his crew along with Wolf and his team to show up in Starlink Battle for Atlas and hopefully down the road of Starfox Grand Prix(if it ends up being true which there is a part of me which I believe it still is) I have a feeling that Falco and Wolf are not going anywhere and if Krystal ends up in the Grand Prix game as playable, not only would it make her relevant again but to the fact that it would increase her chances to go from Assist Trophy from Ultimate to full playable status there like what happened to Little Mac. For the Sonic series, it is possible. Now we have to see and wait on that.

This was probably the best case scenario for Starlink. Without Fox and crew, it would have passed by me and i wouldn't have even taken a second look. Not only that, but by comparison, Fox is the only interesting character on the roster so far. Everyone looks like Fortnite characters or Overwatch background filler. It's not the best thing that could have happened for Star Fox, a new game that breaks free of the 64 and SF2 cycle would have, but at least it hasn't fallen into the vacuous pit Nintendo held them in for almost a decade until Zero. As far as canon, I very much doubt Fox is going to get back to Lylat in the next Star Fox game and talk all about the crazy adventures he had in SL, but there might be a nice little reference here or there. All the news about this game gives me hope, cause Ubi is really happy to have another Nintendo IP to play with and in a recent story I read, Nintendo might be kicking themselves for not doing something so bold and ambitious as Starlink (at least in comparison to Zero).

Well that is because Fox and his crew are memorable to Nintendo not just from the series where they are from but from Smash. Besides Nintendo should take notes from Starlink for a future Starfox game in making it as a open world game while using Starlink as a blueprint for the game. Besides this is the best way for the Starfox series to evolve even further. If Nintendo makes it and gives it the Breath of the Wild treatment, they will have themselves a hit there. As for the rumored Starfox Grand Prix game that Retro Studios is doing, I still think that it is real and believe that we will hear more on it in a future Direct along with Metroid Prime 4, a new Animal Crossing game and the Yoshi game. I am just happy that the Starfox series is getting the love it really needs.

I've been saying that all along. Nintendo can uplift themselves and give all their franchises the BotW treatment. Metroid can skate with a few more Primes because it's been awhile, but Star Fox hasn't had ANYthing new for them since Adventures, and even that was very similar to Zelda games at the time. Everything in Zero was just rehashed stuff from 64 and Star Fox 2 on SNES. BotW blew me away when I first saw it and continues to do so the longer I play it. I pray that Grand Prix doesn't exist. To me, it feels like a desperate attempt to make Star Fox stick to something. A "re-imagining" of the best selling game didn't work, throw darts at the idea board until something works or just trash the IP all together. If Grand Prix came off the success of two or three really well received games, I'd be all for it. I also think that GP could be a really awesome game, but it's not the right time. SF needs to get back on track before they start throwing out spin offs. It'll be like the Sonic franchise, only without the disturbingly devote fanbase to actually buy a few copies. Not that I'm truly worried it'll happen though. Any evidence of GP existing stems from a piece of paper with the Star Fox logo and GP printed under it and a few tumblr anons making boisterous claims about what the game will be like. There are also rumors of Star Fox getting a more open world game called Lylat System, but that wasn't as sensational as a racing game.

I don't mind a spinoff Starfox Grand Prix game. It is mentioned that it is in the vein of Diddy Kong Racing which that would be interesting. As for that other open world game Lylat System, I really like the concept for it there and maybe they will consider it in the future. After all 2 years ago there was an interview with Miyamoto of which other Nintendo franchises he wants it to be more popular and interestingly enough he mentioned Starfox and said that he would put more effort to the series despire the reception that Zero got on the Wii U. Otherwise he wouldn't have bothered mentioning it. So the way I see it I still think that we are going to get a legitimate Starfox game from Nintendo themselves on the Switch in the future. What do you think?

XxSanitariumxX In reply to dragonheart07 [2018-06-20 22:33:27 +0000 UTC]
Neither do I. GP could be a ton of fun. But now is not the time for it. My biggest fears are that it'll flop and Nintendo will throw up their hands and say Star Fox is no good and can't do anything right, and that if it does really well, ten years from now you'll see videos on YouTube like "did you know Star Fox Grand Prix used to be an on rails space shooter? Weird, huh?" While I want SF to be more popular and get more attention, I don't want that to come at the cost of its identity and soul. Zero was Miyamoto's gift to Iwata, which was a sacrifice to appease any and all that bought a Wii U. Everything about Zero was built around the limits and drawbacks of the Wii u and it shows. The motion controls being mandatory was their attempt to defend the Wii U's gimmick. By the time Zero was released, Wii U was already dead, Switch was in the works, and everyone knew of the bad motion controls that they wouldn't want to deal with. Wanting Star Fox to be more popular is a noble gesture, but that requires more effort than they've given it thus far. If they don't want to let SF fall back into obscurity, they have to push forward despite Zero's failure. A post-Zero game, where lylat is still in ruins and it's up to Star Fox to help hold it together while everyone rebuilds and pirates/Anrdoss loyalists try to tear it all down.

Agreed. From the looks of it that is what Nintendo is doing with the Starfox series in pushing the series forward. Even Miyamoto confirmed it that the series will continue despite what happened to Zero. Do you still think that we will get a legit Starfox game on the Switch in the future? Because I do.

XxSanitariumxX In reply to dragonheart07 [2018-06-20 22:43:04 +0000 UTC]
I remain hopeful but skeptical. They passed over Star Fox entirely on the Wii of all things. Hopefully the big wigs at Nintendo also know that it's not SF's fault for Zero flopping like it did. It was a launch title that game at the end of the console's sad, sad life. The Switch is incredibly popular for all the games and portability and has already surpassed the Wii U's entire run, so Nintendo would want to keep the momentum up with releasing more games of their IP's. Star Fox has a good chance, but if there's even a hint of another reboot or remaster, it's dead on arrival. We've essentially played the first Star Fox game, Star Fox SNES, 4 times now. SNESS, 64, 3DS, and Zero. This is their chance to break that norm and give us something we've never seen from Nintendo before.
