Page five of the comic adaptation of =Spyke1985 's Mass Effect fan fic THAT'S SET IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT UNIVERSE. She's taken the story and written it in a totally different way, that means the characters too. So if you're not a big fan of AU's to being with, sorry! This isn't the comic for you!It's Sunday again and that means comic day! I'm making you all wait another week for And So They Fall
Because I'm mean like that And I'm alternating comics which is really what's going onI'm one week down in these 5 week summer classes and it's been intense (I actually just took three tests because the website likes to crash and fail you any earlier than bullshit thirty at night, ie 11:30pm). I'm surprised I got this page finished especially since I'm hitting the books 8 hours a day. But WYS seems to go much, much faster than ASTF. I did the line art in 30 minutes...
Speaking of art, Spyke and I have been working on how I draw turians. I've been humanizing them WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much (like way) so I'm making a conscious effort to get the anatomy right on every turian I draw until I get it right! She was also awesome enough to use her mad modeling program skills to pose Garrus for that first panel. HIS FRINGE ISN'T PINCHED ANYMORE!

I'll will most certainly fix that here in a moment, and thank you for pointing that out! But if I may make a suggestion myself. Perhaps next time when you offer a critique, directly address what the artist has done wrong with a possible solution if you can

Me too. I've been more than a bit frustrated with myself for not paying closer attention when I first started drawing ME fan art. I've fallen into a bad habit, but with the right references (and actually using them) I should break it fairly easily. Spyke used a good analogy that a turian's upper body is just like an hourglass turned with the top/bottom facing you. I have no idea how they don't fall over being so top heavy XD
And the fact that she's pretty renegade doesn't help matters D:

Haha! I haven't forgotten either! I was looking at some pictures of him earlier and I don't think it'll be too bad. Better than Grunt at least. That solid head plate will be much easier to draw than whatever Grunt has going on. With him I'd have to make sure all those pieces are in the right place

I love the Mama Shep pics I've been seeing on Tumblr where she's like his mom. So I made this sketch real quick of her reading him a pop up book about sharks in bed with Garrus sitting on the other side with this completely unamused look on his face.
I wanna finish it when these classes are done. It's kinda cute XD

Yeah, the Mama Shep is pretty popular. But unless it's a pop up book about various ways to kill Turians, I doubt Grunt will be invested. Still I can't wait to see it.

Grunt has a thing for sharks and dinosaurs, but other than that I agree lol I should work on that... Haven't touched it since I doodled it. Like most everything in my files.

The fact that she is showing so much teeth it's a wonder Garrus and Kaidan don't notice.
Although, canon wise, Garrus probably thinks its a strange human thing.
Kaidan is probably staring at her ass, creepily undressing her with his eyes... his examining eyes @_@ so much to see...

She's conveniently always had her back turned to the team (or at least the humans) when she's shown that much teeth ;3 Completely accidental art wise though. But I'm sure Taren doesn't care too much about the whole teeth thing
