Amy blinked open her eyes. She was alive, but what had? she froze as she felt something cold on her arm. Metal? She turned to it, a hand held tightly onto her. she gazed up, her eyes shone in both wonder and terror as a hedgehog in gold armour held her close "Are you OK?" he asked. Amy felt sick. Sonic? She nodded. What had happened to him? Was this one of his many forms?
"Sonic? is that you?" he chuckled "Surprised?" She reached for the helmet, pushing the visor up. Sonic blinked as his face was revealed. It was him. "What is this?" she asked, touching his face to make sure this was real "A bad dream?" Sonic, rested his hand on her cheek. "It's me. don't be afraid". As he spoke, the roar of the dragon made the ground shake. She spun around, holding herself tighter to her friend. Sonic hid his face again, then grasped his sword while keeping Amy close. "It's OK" he whispered to her as the dragon approached "I'll protect you".
