By all means, ignore it, I would've respected it more if they didn't reveal Danny's identity in the end as well as him getting with Sam. I would have been satisfied enough if it ended with the whole world accepting Danny as a hero and Vlad being outed as the villain he truly is (although sucks we never got that proper final battle between them
