I didn't really consider any of it "filler" because it still involved Lion-o learning how to be a better leader, a better hero, and a better person.
And if we stayed on track for too long, it'd be over too soon

True, true, and true. I don't want the show to end too soon, but I thought it was kind of odd that it took so long for the lizards and Grune to catch up with them. They don't really make a effective army, even with their technology. Those lizard walkers are built pretty flimsy and keep blowing up. At this rate, the lizards might go extinct lol.
