I'm fortunate enough to get to illustrate the first release from Cargo Cult Press. Their first novella is a extreme horror fiction piece called POPULATION ZERO by Wrath James White.

On this project, I was asked to riff off of Frank Miller's "Sin City" style, and avoid the hyper-detail that usually defines my work. In my teens, I was a HUGE fan of Miller and the striking style he used in "Sin City", so this assignment was a bit of a trip for me.

This is the frontispiece for the harcover novella. I will also be designing the foil-stamped image that will appear on the hardcover.
