Another perching dragon commission! NOT FOR SALE! This one was based off of a concept drawing that they sent me of their own dragon character, Kyrialeriss. I got to choose the coloring
This was definitely one of my more technical dragons. He posed a lot of challenge with those wings! He was actually supposed to be a lot simpler in style, but I got way too into it and went pretty literal with the design instead of cute-ifying it too much. Every once in a while a dragon design really intrigues me and I do way more work on them than I meant to. I really need to stop making more work for myself
Hand-sculpted from colored Premo Sculpey clay, just under 4 inches tall

Beautiful work, absolutely stunning. You're dragons are the 8th Wonder of the World, I are say. But, one thing I'm most curious about, (a question I did not see in your FAQ page) Β HOW did you get this guy to stand up straight in the oven during baking? Wouldn't he have flopped over at some point?

Oh and by the way good proportions. I usually like to make jewelry since I was taught using silver or gold to be able to shape and cast it to be used as charms.

Hey dude I've got pottery clay at home and I hope it's suitable for making animals and vases. If it's not I might be selling it since it's brand new and comes with the spinning Weil. My cat is being a hamster rightnow

Your work reminds me of a book I read about a lady who did kinda the same thing, make little dragon sculptures, but they all came to life when everyone was out of the room. Only the one doing the sculpting knew of their liveliness, but everyone else called her crazy. It was a good book from what I remember
